The Making of Academic Book/Journal Trailer
A book trailer is a helpful marketing tool to promote a book to a wider audience online.
Right from identifying the Target to creating a Hook and deciding on a Distribution, a book trailer is much larger than a book summary. In this one-day workshop, the participants will learn script creation and video concepts from the selected books.
The participants will join in a series of facilitated discussions seeking outside-the-box ideas to spark the trailer creativity, though there are tried-and-true samples to use.
At the end of the workshop, the participants will have both the script and trailer ready in form of Video/Podcast/PowerPoint Animation.
The participants will review the final trailer produced together with iesResearch.
What is this workshop about?
Learning Objectives include:
1. To learn how to create a storyboard of Big Why-Why-What-How in developing the right script
2. To convert the script into engaging media as a book trailer, for example, PowerPoint animation, video, & podcast
3. To optimize the script in maximizing the effect of PowerPoint animation, video, & podcast
What will you take away from this experience?
1. There are three sessions within this workshop
2. In this program you will learn the following tools; Mind-the-graph, Lumen5, PowerPoint Animation, & Descript + Audacity (Podcast)
3. The participants need to work on a trailer from a selected academic book/journal throughout the workshop
Pre-requisites
Participants must have at least 1 published research paper/book or 1 working draft to be submitted
The publication is required to be submitted to us 1-week before the workshop
Make sure you have proper online learning equipment during the workshop (headset, microphone, etc.)
